Eostre Ceremony

We held our ceremony for Eostre, Alban  Eilir or Spring Equinox. Alban Eilir means The Light of the Earth. We held our festival under this natural canopy that was created by this massive Cedar Tree. We had an Altar set with candles and Hare’s.

The weather held out for the ceremony although as we stood around eating & drinking and we had made our toasts and offerings to Our Ancestors, The Cedar Tree and Our Gods/Goddesses we had some Thunder.

Its great to have our Ceremonies in public places as the general public seem interested but don’t infringe or abuse.

Blessings of Eostre to you all /|\

Being a Druid in the 21st Century

In the 21st Century how do you continue to be a Druid/Pagan. I don’t want this post/blog to become somewhere for political, activist or just plain arguing but I do want to know how you continue to follow your path with things happening that are damaging our Great Mother Earth.

Oil leaks, Fracking, Deforestation, Whaling, Ivory Poaching the list goes on and I struggle to see a way through it.

This is a post that I want your feedback on. Let’s see how we all manage /|\

Social Media & Paganism

I have just started using Facebook on a regular basis and I have found that it’s actually not a bad way of sharing & learning. Now don’t get me wrong I think that Facebook is a nightmare for certain people due to bullying etc but I have found that as long as you are careful you can use it as a positive tool.

I have recently joined several groups so that I can learn more about different aspects of my spirituality. I have joined a group on shamanism as well as several different druid based groups.

What Social Media has allowed me to do is befriend many people that are like minded including several authors on Druidry, Wicca, Shamanism, Animism and many other aspects of spirituality like Silver Ravenwolf, Emma Restall Orr & Phillip Carr Gomm. It has allowed me to make friends with pagans in different countries and meet up with others at places like Avebury & Stonehenge for ceremonies/festivals.

All I would say is that on your journey use whatever tools you can but always be aware that some people join these groups just to try putting down you & your beliefs. Join groups that your friends are members of.
